    Description
    -----------
zblast is a simple but fairly manic shoot-em-up. There are versions
for both svgalib (the original) and X.

    Installation
    ------------
For zblast (the svgalib version) you need svgalib (surprise :-)) - any
reasonably recent version should be ok. If you don't have X on your
machine, use `make vga' to avoid trying to compile xzb.
For xzb (the X version) you should only need a Unix box with X11R5/R6
and usleep(), but it's only been tested on a Linux (x86) box with gcc
and X11R6 (XFree86). It might actually need a POSIX box with an ANSI C
compiler, I haven't checked. If compiling on a non-Linux box or one
without svgalib, be sure to do `make x' as plain `make' will try to
    compile zblast too.
Edit the Makefile as required. For an average Linux box, you won't
need any edits. Do note that you'll need a `games' group - but that
shouldn't be a problem. (I think most distributions have one.)
As usual, `make install' (as root) installs it after you've compiled
whichever versions you want (vga or X or both).
Once it's installed, do `man zblast' for further documentation.

    Speed/flicker tweaks
    --------------------
On anything remotely modern it'll run quite comfortably. If you have
problems with slower machines, try running with `-small'. That should
speed things up a certain amount. If that's not enough, try `-small
    -nomusic'.
By default, both versions use a fast but slightly flickery unbuffered
line drawing style. If you run it with `-dbuf', you get a slower but
flicker-free version. Personally, I don't think the slowdown is worth
it on my machine, but if you have a fast enough box (or a mono X
display, in xzb's case) you might want to try it. (The title animation
is always drawn unbuffered, so don't worry if that still flickers.)

    Have fun,

  14. The 11th Power 2016-10-03

The 11th Power is my take on the (briefly) popular game 2048. Its name comes from the fact that:
    1. 2048 is 2 to the 11th power
    2. I made this long after 2048 stopped being popular
I had found a PlayStation SDK a long time ago, but was unsuccessful in getting it to work after a few tries. About 3 years later, I gave it another shot, and finally managed to fix it up, getting some sample source code to compile. The 11th Power was quite easy to develop, taking only about a week and a half's worth of evenings.
The 11th Power uses coloured balls instead of numbers, each representing an exponent. The order is as follows:
    - One through four red balls
    - One through four green balls
    - One through three blue balls (three blue balls being the goal of 2048)

  15. Pinballoid b (19-oct-2015)

Essentially, it's an Arkanoid clone with new features and gameplay. Actually, it doesn't have much ressemblance to Pinball, but Pinballoid introduces some object-building capabilities to make the game more interesting.
Also, it includes a level editor to create your own levels. They can be saved/loaded to/from memory card.

  16. ROLL BOSS RUSH 1.11

    Features:
Currently have 8 robot Masters and 1 Wily Boss (shooting for 24*)
Roll Boss Rush is an On-going PSX Homebrew project of mine. It's a 2D Action Platformer, but mostly it's just fighting a boss (or bosses) on a single screen.

    Game Description:
You play as Megaman's sister ROLL, but not the Roll based on the Japanese Canon, but the Ruby Spears MegaMan Cartoon.
There are now 4 difficulty levels (easy-normal-hard & one-hit). You choose one main weapon (straight-spread-charge or burst) and one sub-weapon (vacuum-toaster-saw). You can also now choose between fighting 1 or 2 bosses at the same time (mono-melee) regardless of difficulty level.
During battles you can grab your enemy and absorb their power and use it against them. She can even perform some physical attacks such as a drop kick. You also have a super meter that allows you to perform a SUPER MOVE. Based on what weapon you're currently using, you can perform different SUPER MOVES.
Each boss has a weakness, much like every other megaman game. At the end of each battle, you're given a grade based upon your performance, an information Token, and a Password.

  19. Marilyn in the Magic World 0.12a

This is a fan-game project starring an original character named Marilyn created by a fellow dA artist named Kenny Anderson who I'am a fan of his works and original characters. One time I thought it would be a really cool idea to make a homebrew game starring one's original character (preferably Marilyn) and so, this project was eventually born! And I believe this is the first OC based fan-game to be a homebrew game.
    Technical Features:
Fast loading times and clean disc structure
    Compilation-friendly and MeidoMenu 1.2 compatible
CD-XA music streaming and sound effects
Supports widescreen mode (doesn't look good on most emulators though)
